My name is Daria Gutteridge and I am a PhD Candidate at the University of South Australia (UniSA). I was wondering if you would be interested to share some information about a research study that is currently being conducted at the Cognitive Ageing and Impairment Neuroscience (CAIN) Laboratory, at the UniSA Magill Campus (SA), within your community group. The research study is investigating the relationship between blood pressure fluctuations and memory function in 60 to 80 year-olds (ethics approval number: 202510). This project follows strict COVID Guidelines.

As a brief summary, this project would require participants to come to the UniSA Magill Campus for two testing sessions, completing some at-home blood pressure measurements for 6 consecutive days, and return for one additional visit to return the blood pressure equipment. The testing sessions involve a brief demographic and health questionnaire, memory tests, a non-invasive central blood pressure and arterial stiffness assessment, as well as a non-invasive transcranial Doppler assessment, which functions similarly to an ultrasound, but allows us to measure brain blood flow. All participants will be thanked for their time with an overall $80 Coles/Myer voucher ($40 visit 1, $20 visit 2, $20 visit 3).
