Hi ,
Station Officer David White 2301867 DOB 27/08/1960
It is with great sadness that I inform you of Station Officer David White’s current medical condition. Dave has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma which has now become very invasive and has now sadly spread to his brain. Dave at present does not have the ability to speak or communicate at this time, but Shiona Somerville has said anyone wishing to see Dave at this time is more than welcome to, however, be aware that Dave may not acknowledge any visitors who do visit. David’s children and Shiona are very thankful for the support shown by David’s fire service family and many friends that have made contact during this time. David is being well looked after in Memorial Hospital, Sir Edwin Smith Ave North Adelaide, Level 3, Clarke Ward in Room 1.
Shiona wishes to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and concern for Dave and is overwhelmed by the support offered, however, the emotional fatigue is taking its toll on Shiona, and she has asked if all future calls or emails at this time are via the Employee Support Coordinator.
Yours sincerely, Brian Moon MFS Employee Support Coordinator t 08 8204 3650 | e mfs.employeesupportcoordinator@eso.sa.gov.au mob 0427 082 457
