Reminder for the
2023 Retirement Social.

Dear SAFSRA Members,

This is a final reminder regarding the 2023 Jack Crossman Memorial Retirement Social which will be held at the Festival Function Centre, Findon on Friday, 18 August 2023 from 6.30pm through to 11.30-pm.

The retirement social is an important event on the fire service calendar, and provides a wonderful opportunity to formally recognise and celebrate the service, commitment, and contribution of our retirees to the MFS and SA community. Notwithstanding the excellent value offered by a three course meal and 5 hour drinks package ($50:00), this event promises to be another fabulous night to not only acknowledge our retirees, but to mingle & reminisce with other retired and serving members.

Whilst a $10:00 late fee was due to apply for all bookings made after Friday, 4 August 2023, the Organising Committee in consultation with the Fire Service Credit Union have agreed to extend the RSVP date by one (1) week only to Friday, 11 August 2023. Consequently, further to the attachment and screen-grab below, it would be very much appreciated if you could please finalise your table bookings prior to the RSVP date, noting that the success of this event will be attributable in part to the level of attendance from current serving and retired staff.

Finally, further to preceding functions, I’m pleased to advise that approval has been provided for parking at Adelaide Station and transportation by MFS buses to and from the venue, with tentative times currently set for 1700-1830hrs and 2330-0100hrs respectively.
