Passing of Brian John Sutherland

It is heavy hearts that SAFSRA informs members on the passing of Brian Sutherland on the 18/03/2026 - Aged 74 years

Sutho was certainly a father figure for many firefighters sharing his experiences, humour, wisdom and knowledge. 

As D shifters, many of us experienced going out on Brian's boat gathering scallops and then going onto night shift for Ron Carr to cook up a magic scallop mornay to feed the whole shift.  - Great memories.

SAFRA passes its deepest condolences to Pauline, their children, and to the Sutherland family and friends.

To his many work colleagues, remember that we are a family and are here to support you through this tough time.

Brian's Funeral Service will be held on Friday 27 March 2026 

Venue: Tony Monte Funeral Chapel, 1 Web Street Port Adelaide.

Time: 2.30 pm
