The attention of all staff is directed to the passing of –:

Retained Station Officer John Hamilton Elliott OAM, AFSM

MFS ID 9011
DOB 15/02/1941

John joined Mt Gambier Regional Station 70 when it was the
EFS on Friday the 15th of January 1960 and resigned from
SAMFS on Saturday the 16th of January 2010 after a great 50
years of service.

John was appointed Senior Foreman on the 31st of March 1984 until his resignation as a Station Officer.

John passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on the morning of the 30th of October 2024.

Funeral Service details are as follows:
Date: Friday 15th of November 2024

Venue: Carinya Garden Cemetery & Crematorium Mt Gambier SA
