Passing of Peter Vertudaches

SAFSRA is deeply saddened to inform members of the passing of
Peter William Vertudaches "Pepe"

Retired Firefighter Peter William Vertudaches

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of retired
Firefighter Peter William Vertudaches. Peter passed away at home on
Thursday 4th May 2023.

Peter was a dedicated member of the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service and served the South Australian public for over four decades.

Peter joined the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service on Monday, June 22, 1964, and served at various stations including Penfield, Ridgehaven, Headquarters, and Golden Grove.

Firefighter Peter William Vertudaches retired from duty on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, after 41 years of service.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones during
this difficult time. As we mourn his loss, let us also remember and celebrate his life and legacy.

Funeral details are as follows:
Date: Monday 15th May, 2023
Time: 1000 Hours
Venue: Harrison Funerals
63 Golden Grove Rd Ridgehaven, 5097

All Operational MFS personnel attending the funeral service are advised to wear dress of the day including medals, cap and tie. Soft shell jackets if required.

Personnel past and present will be invited to form a guard of honour at the conclusion of the service.
