Passing of Neil “Tosh” Ball

SAFSRA is deeply saddened to inform members of the passing of Neil “Tosh” Ball We pass our deepest condolences to Neil's family, friends and to all of his work colleagues.

Retired A Grade Electrician Neil “Tosh” Ball

DOB 06/03/1931

Neil “Tosh” joined the Fire Service as a Brigade Electrician shortly after he and his family immigrated to Adelaide, Australia from England in 1965.
Tosh retired after 32 years of loyal service and remained an active member within the SAMFS Retirees Association, with a special thanks to his daughter Anne for keeping him up to date with any Fire Service news and emails in his later years.

Tosh sadly passed away on Wednesday the 9th of July 2025, aged 94 years.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Tosh’s family, friends, work colleagues and fellow SAMFS retirees during this sad time.

Funeral Service details are as follows:
Date: Friday 25th of July 2025
Time: 12 45 Hours
Venue: Enfield Memorial Park – Wattle 2 Chapel
Browning Street Clearview

The Service will be followed by tea, coffee and light refreshments in the Limestone 2 Lounge.

All Operational MFS personnel attending the funeral service are advised to wear dress of the day
including medals, cap and tie. Softshell jackets if required.
