Passing of Marty Reeves

It is with great sadness that we inform members of the passing of Marty Reeves.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go the Reeves family in this tough time.

Below is a email to John Johnson from his wife Tricia Reeves.

I'm letting you know that my darling husband Martin Reeves (he served from 1966 to 2001) passed away this week on 26/5/23. We didn't manage to get to the lunches very often, as after retiring from the Fire Service, we moved to Birdwood, where Martin drove the school bus from 2003 to 2016, but he enjoyed catching up with old friends and the comradery of reminiscing with fellow fire fighters.

Martin was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2020, so we knew a long retirement was not going to happen, but this year his health deteriorated.
The timing still still caught us by surprise, and came too soon. 

Martin passed peacefully in the Lyell McEwin Hospital Emerg Department on Wednesday, with me and his children by his side, knowing he was loved. 
He will be greatly missed.

Marty's Funeral will be held at Kleeman Funeral Chapel,
53 Woodside Rd Lobethal at 1000 hours 2 June 2023.

The service will be live streamed to view via the Kleemann Funerals website.
