Passing of John “Wormy” Wormald

The attention of all members is directed to the passing of:

John “Wormy” Wormald
DOB: 19/02/1948
ID: 1606

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of our former colleague, John
Wormald. John joined the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service on
Monday the 4th of July 1977 and served within the MFS and for the
community in South Australian for 25 years before retiring on Wednesday the
20th of November 2002.
John served mainly at Elizabeth Fire Station on B Shift who have many great
memories of his time on and off shift.
After retiring from the MFS, John settled in Coonabarabran, NSW
John passed away peacefully on Thursday the 26th of June 2025 at the age of
77 years, while in the care of the Cooinda Nursing home.
