Notice to Members -
Passing of Errol Johnson

SAFSRA is saddened to inform members on the passing of Errol Johnson.
We pass our deepest condolences to the family. 

He is remembered for his humour, laughter and fun he shared wherever
he worked.

Thomas William Errol Johnson

DOB 6th of July 1945

Errol joined SAMFS on Monday the 14th of April 1969 and retired
on Wednesday the 21st of February 1996.

Errol served SAMFS in Camden Park, Training Department, Adelaide,
Glenelg, and Christie’s Downs Stations.

Errol passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday the 29th
of January 2023 aged 77 years.

Funeral Mass details are as follows:

Date:      Friday the 10th of February 2023

Time:      1330 Hours

Venue:   St John the Baptist Catholic Church

                 342 Anzac Highway

                 Plympton 5038

Following the mass, the Funeral Cortege will proceed to the
Centennial Park Cemetery for the Committal.

NOTE: SAFSRA is aware that members may have already indicated that they will be attending the event at Christie Downs and Noarlunga
Station which occurs on the same day and at the same time.

It is understandable that some members may will now wish to
attend the funeral for Errol.

Please email SAFSRA at admin@safsra.com.au and inform us
if you have changed your plans and will not attend the Christies event.

We will make arrangements for members to visit the station
on another date.

It is intended also be starting the BBQ earlier allowing members to
get away in time to attend the funeral.
