Hi ,
SAFSRA is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Commander Adrienne Clarke OAM AFSM

Good morning all,

It is with deep sadness that I confirm, yesterday, 13 August 2025, MFS Commander Adrienne Clarke OAM AFSM passed away surrounded by family.

Adrienne was a pioneer for women in firefighting, breaking barriers and paving the way for many who followed.

Her presence touched so many, and I know her impact will be felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Adrienne’s passing is an enormous loss for the MFS, and wider emergency services community.

As you would all appreciate this is a very difficult time for Adrienne’s family, and we ask that all persons wishing to contact and/or send condolences do so at this time through the Employee Support Department.

I encourage you all to reach out to our employee support team, or EAP providers, who will continue to offer ongoing support and assistance to all MFS staff and their families.

Warm Regards

Jeff Swann
