Passing of Kevin Sleep " Sleepy"

SAFSRA is deeply saddened to inform members of the passing of Kevin Sleep.

Kevin was a special character in the SAFB given his talents to playing the clown for many fund raising and charitable events as well as devoting his career to serving as a Firefighter. 

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Kevin's family, his friends and to his work colleagues. 

Retired Senior Firefighter Kevin (Sleepy) Sleep ID: 1234

DOB: 17/12/1944, Kevin passed away on the 20th of July 2025

Kevin commenced his service on 15/12/1966 and retired on 04/08/1997 after 31 years of dedicated service.
The SAMFS would like to extend their sympathies to Kevin’s wife Jan, family and friends.

Funeral details are as follows:

Date: Friday 1st of August 2025
Time: 11:00 Hours
Venue: Endeavour Funerals
101 Main S Road, Yankalilla

After celebrations of Sleepy’s life from noon at the Yankalilla Hotel.

All Operational MFS personnel attending the funeral service are advised to wear dress of the day including medals cap and tie. Soft shell jackets if required.
