Hi,TO ALL STAFF
The attention of all staff is directed to the passing of –: Ronald Henry Riessen MFS ID 1152 DOB 08/11/1923 Ronald joined SAMFS on Monday 18th February 1963 and retired on Wednesday 20th July 1988. Ronald joined SAMFS in the Maintenance Department working Initially in Waymouth Street. As part of the maintenance team Ronald would travel to all major town locations and the country to service hoses, test and recharge various types of fire extinguishers and also tag the extinguishers. Ronald was eventually relocated to North Adelaide Station as part of the MFS restructuring and then later transferred back to Adelaide Station and promoted to Technical Support Officer in charge of the maintenance room. Ronald passed away peacefully while in care on 15th July 2021 aged 97 years. Funeral details are as follows: Date: 30th July 2021 Time: 1130 Hours Venue: Centennial Park Cemetery 760 Goodwood Road Pasadena SA 5042 Please be aware that if intending to attend this service COVID restrictions apply, for information regarding restriction please call (08) 82766011.
All Operational MFS personnel attending the funeral service are advised to wear dress of the day including medals cap and tie. Soft shell jackets if required.
