The attention of all staff is directed to the passing of:- Firefighter Colin Ray Mattiske DOB 11th November 1934
Colin “Col” joined the SAMFS in the early Nineteen Sixties. Colin served SAMFS for several years before leaving the MFS to take an opportunity to join the Aviation Fire Service. Colin passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning the 16th of April 2022 while at Laurel Hospice aged 87 years surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral details are as follows:
Date: Monday 2nd of May 2022 Time: 1400 Hours Venue: Our Saviour Lutheran Church 32 Taylors Road West Aberfoyle Park SA 5194
All Operational MFS personnel attending the funeral service are advised to wear dress of the day including medals cap and tie. Soft shell jackets if required.
