Hi ,

The attention of all staff is directed to the passing of –:

Fire Commander John ‘Tich’ Freeman
DOB 3rd of September 1947

Tich joined SAMFS on 18 February 1974 and retired on 10 December 2002 as
Commander of SAMFS Operations.
He served SAMFS in Adelaide, O’Halloran Hill and St Mary’s Stations on shift and In the Training Department and Technical Department on Day Work.
Tich passed away peacefully on Monday the 19th of December 2022.
There will be a private funeral service for his family and a Celebration of Life Service for all his friends and colleagues at the end of 2023 on the completion of the new Normanville Surf Life Saving Club clubrooms at Tich’s request.
Details will be made available closer to the date next year.
